As good as Les Blues are , their goalkeeper could be their Achilles heels in this year's world cup. He is far below the standard of past French goalkeepers . Maybe I shouldn't judge him with his first match in goal but I think he is not the best the French national team offer as a goalkeeper

Although playing against a host nation could be daunting when considering the home support from fans and other factors . However, South Africa has ended up setting two bad records tonight.There could be more that I didn't notice:
1. The first yellow card of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
2. The first team to receive two red cards in the opening game of FIFA World Cup.
Now , the remaining teams in Group A will see South Africa as a team they can easily get 3 points from. Too bad for them! I think they need to approach the remaining games cautiously. If they are lucky , maybe they could get a draw and a win and still qualify for the next round but I don't see them going far in the tournament. ESH

Its 1:0 at half time in favour of the co-host country , Mexico. Quinonos puts the Mexico ahead in the 9th minutes of the the first half . Will South Africa bounce back to at least get a draw in the second half? Let's bear your comments
