International Music Festival Maputo Mozambique For the past 7 years, we have watched young people in Mozambique become engaged and excited by music they have never been exposed to before.

Through our "International Music Festival," they have been introduced to the beauty of opera, theatrical and symphonic music via youthful talented musicians brought together for this annual event from all parts of the world. The growth of our Festival has been phenomenal – from 2005 to 2011. Due to our high performance standards, we have been able to build the Festival (from what might have become

a one off venture) into a solid, well-organized and diverse annual musical event. We have captured followers from all sectors, young and old, rich and poor, without losing sight of our primary objective -- to express the importance of education in the classical form. And, as part of our strategy, we have introduced acoustic Jazz, World Music, Opera and ballet and dance to our classical music program, enabling us to attract a wider audience without overshadowing the importance of the formal classics.
