Temos o primeiro Instrutor de Mergulho do Lwandi Surf!

A equipe do Lwandi Surf está muito orgulhosa da sua conquista, e temos certeza que é um momento especial para você e toda a sua família 💙

Abaixo temos um pequeno depoimento do Instrutor de Mergulho Namesake:

"Tenho orgulho de mim mesmo todos os dias por saber e perceber que não sou mais a mesma pessoa que eu era quando comecei a mergulhar.

Meu pai sempre me apoiou a seguir esse caminho, mas foram os instrutores que me mostraram o caminho a seguir. Rômulo e Gabriel, por serem meus instrutores de natação e surfe, por serem meus guias nessa jornada e por finalmente me apresentarem ao Lwandi Dive .

De uma pequena vila chamada Ndolene, na província de Gaza, hoje, um dos meus lugares favoritos é o coral de Pinnacles. Gosto de mergulho profundo e é lá que eu encontro os tubarões, principalmente, os tubarões touro que são uma das minhas espécies favoritas.

Aprendi que mergulhar não é apenas entrar e sair da água, mas que o mergulho tem a ver com o meio ambiente, com a saúde psicológica, com as pessoas e que, acima de tudo, o mergulho tem a ver com a vida, porque mergulhar é vida!"

Celebrando Dois Novos Instrutores PADI!🤿

O Maputo Dive Center tem o prazer de anunciar que Sandra José Ferreira e Namesake Samuel Munguambe se qualificaram oficialmente como Instrutores PADI!

Começando do zero, eles trabalharam com dedicação e paixão para se tornarem verdadeiros heróis do oceano - uma verdadeira jornada Zero to Hero. Estamos muito orgulhosos deles! 💙

Na semana passada, os nossos alunos concluíram Instructor Development Course, crescendo em competências e confiança, e dando um grande passo rumo ao seu futuro como profissionais de mergulho. Próxima paragem: Sodwana, onde irão realizar o Instructor Examination. Estamos extremamente orgulhosos de cada um deles e desejamos-lhes muito sucesso no IE 🍀

From zero to hero 🌊

Last week, our students completed their Instructor Development Course, growing in skills and confidence, and stepping fully into their future as dive professionals. Next stop: Sodwana, where they’ll take on their Instructor Examination. We are incredibly proud of each one of them and wish them the very best of luck for their IE 🍀

Hawksbill turtles alimentam-se principalmente de esponjas do mar, mas também comem algas, tunicados e águas-vivas. Seus bicos estreitos e pontiagudos permitem retirar alimento de pequenas fendas nos recifes de coral. Ao se alimentarem de esponjas, evitam que esses organismos cresçam demais e dominem o recife, ajudando a manter a diversidade de corais e a saúde do recife. Hawksbill turtles alimentam-se principalmente durante o dia e desempenham um papel vital na manutenção do equilíbrio dos ecossistemas de coral!🐢

Hawksbill turtles are mostly spongivores, feeding on sea sponges, but they also eat algae, tunicates, and jellyfish. Their narrow, pointed beaks allow them to extract food from small coral crevices. By grazing on sponges, they prevent these fast-growing organisms from overtaking the reef, helping maintain coral diversity and reef health. Hawksbills are primarily daytime feeders and play a vital role in keeping coral ecosystems balanced!🪸

Moçambique no DEMA 2025! 🇲🇿🌍

O Maputo Dive Center teve uma semana incrível na maior feira de mergulho do mundo, mostrando não só o mergulho, mas toda a nossa aventura Beach & Bush.

Apresentámos um dos circuitos de viagem mais únicos do mundo, com mergulho de classe mundial em Moçambique e safaris imperdíveis na África do Sul, permitindo aos visitantes mergulhar de manhã e ver os Big Five no dia seguinte. Mostrámos porque Moçambique é perfeito para exploradores: não apenas mergulhos repetitivos, mas mergulho combinado com paragliding, quad bikes, cultura, gastronomia e safari 🐆🐘🐋

Fomos orgulhosamente reconhecidos como DEMA Gold Diving Community Champion pelo nosso impacto real nas comunidades através do mergulho, educação, conservação e capacitação local 🏆

Também doámos uma máscara tradicional de pesca submarina da Ilha de Moçambique ao Museum of Diving History como símbolo da herança marítima e reforçámos a colaboração com o Diving With a Purpose, desenvolvendo trilhas de mergulho arqueológico em Nampula junto a naufrágios históricos para apoiar a investigação através do turismo de mergulho responsável 🤿

Mozambique at DEMA 2025! ✨

Maputo Dive Center had an amazing week at the world’s largest dive show, showcasing not just diving, but our full Beach & Bush adventure

We presented one of the world’s most unique travel circuits, with world-class diving in Mozambique and bucket-list safaris in South Africa, allowing visitors to dive in the morning and see the Big Five the next day. We highlighted why Mozambique is perfect for explorers: not just repetitive dives, but diving combined with paragliding, quad bikes, culture, cuisine, and safari. 🦏🐬

We were proud to be recognized as DEMA’s Gold Diving Community Champion for our real community impact through diving, education, conservation, and local capacity-building 🏆

We also donated a traditional spearfishing mask from Ilha de Moçambique to the Museum of Diving History as a symbol of maritime heritage and strengthened our collaboration with Diving with a Purpose, developing archaeological dive trails in Nampula around historic shipwrecks to support research through responsible dive tourism 🤿
