The UTP Sports Carnival is an annual event which will be held in this August 2015. This event is a combination and cooperation between C0-Curriculum Unit SSSD, Student Representative Council (SRC) and Sport Club/Team. The main purpose of this carnival is to generate harmony,unity, cooperation and strengthen the relationship among the students and to provide a platform for students to display talen
ts.This form of sports activities will also strengthen the unity among our university students, hence our theme. These new-found talents could be developed to enhance the image & overall standing of UTP teams participating in competitions/tournaments in the future. A total of eight programs will be competing in 14 sports and the Closing Ceremony will be held on 19th August 2015. A total of 181 students are expected to take part in this annual event as a players, official, volunteers and secretariat. The officials that are going to conduct this event such are the referees and score sheet database are not student based expertise as they will be conducting professionally. This is to support our sporting elements among students and improvising our sporting name in this institution. Thus it is important for this event to be successful because it will be a good platform for students to represent UTP in other sports event and to invent a harmonious relationship among university students, hence reaching our goals for this event
