The replay confirms it—Ugayez was absolutely nowhere near the ball. It was a reckless, late tackle... a moment of pure panic from the player who has had a tough night so far.
The referee is going to his pocket... oh, no! He has chosen to keep the card away! Ugayez is extremely lucky to escape without a caution! That could easily have been a booking, perhaps even a red depending on the interpretation of the challenge.

WakJat receives the ball deep! He's being pressed... but look at the feet!

That is simply majestic control! He dances past two defenders, shifting his weight, the ball is tied to his toe! He opens up the space... he has a shooting chance from the edge of the box!

WakJat unleashes the strike! It beats the keeper..... PING! Off the far post!.. THEN PONG! Off the near post!
And... oh my goodness! It spins, rolls... AND TRICKLES OVER THE LINE! GOAL!

The tension! The anxiety! It hit the woodwork not once, but twice, before agonizingly crossing the line! That is the luck you earn with a moment of brilliant skill. WakJat provided the majestic control and the finish that gave the keeper no hope, even if the goal itself was assisted by both uprights! The net shakes, and the stadium erupts!"

This is a goal that is beautiful in its creation but utterly chaotic in its final ex*****on. It tells the story of a player who deserved the goal through skill, and finally got the rub of the green!
