BAM deeply appreciates the dedication and sacrifices made by Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani. Their invaluable contributions have brought honor and glory to Malaysia, highlighted by numerous tournament victories.
Sze Fei, born in Melaka, joined BAM in 2010, while Johor-born Izzuddin became part of the national setup in 2016. First paired in 2016, they briefly split in January last year, before reuniting four months later. Their partnership has since flourished, culminating in victories at the Kaoshiung Masters 2023, Abu Dhabi Masters 2023, a silver medal at the Asian Championships in April this year, and most recently, sealing the Super 750 tournament at the Japan Open. They were also part of the victorious Malaysian outfit that won the Badminton Asia Team title in 2022.
Sze Fei and Izzuddin expressed sadness at leaving the national fold after so many years but felt it was the right decision for them.
“We are grateful for the opportunities BAM provided. Our deepest thanks go to Tan Sri Norza for his extraordinary support over the years,” shared Sze Fei and Izzuddin.
