The ASEAN University Sports Council (AUSC) convened the 1st AUSC Executive Committee–AUGOC 2028 Coordination Meeting on 26 October 2026 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, hosted by the Cambodian Student Sports Federation CSSF.
The meeting was chaired by the President of CSSF and co-chaired by the AUSC Secretary General, with the AUSC President joining virtually.
The meeting was also attended by members of the AUSC Executive Committee, the Chairman of the AUSC International Technical Committee, and a member of the AUSC International Medical and Anti-Doping Committee, together with representatives of CSSF and the AUG 2028 Organising Committee.
As an important step towards the 23rd ASEAN University Games (AUG) 2028, the meeting featured two key presentations:
🔹 Kick-off Briefing by AUSC – Providing an overview of the Games' organisational framework, governance, technical and operational requirements, and key responsibilities of the host country.
🔹 AUG 2028 Progress Report by CSSF – Highlighting the current status of preparations, organisational arrangements, venue planning, and key priorities leading towards the Games.
The meeting served as an important platform to align expectations, strengthen coordination, and establish a common understanding of the preparations and responsibilities required to deliver a successful AUG 2028.
🇰🇠A HISTORIC MILESTONE FOR CAMBODIA
The 23rd ASEAN University Games 2028 will mark Cambodia's first time hosting the ASEAN University Games, representing a significant milestone in the country's university sports development.

AUSC extends its sincere appreciation to CSSF for its warm hospitality, excellent arrangements, and continued commitment towards the successful organisation of AUG 2028.
