YES I admit their punches are not straight, stances are imperfect, postures are not erect, but you know something they are just 5 to 6 years old. It's Saturday morning class, they woke up early, dress up and here in our dojo to learn something. What your kids doing at this age?
KATA : by repeating the same thing over and over again it improves memory power.
KUMITE : improves willpower , strength, critical thinking, and etc.

Scientifically kids are more capable of absorbing new things. It would be better if we occupy their mind with good stuff like karate other than studies. Karate is a form of exercise which will helps the kid to keep them active mentally and physically. As we all know karate is a martial art that we can take it as sports and also as selfdefence. Apart from that, it also boost their self confidence where they learn to conduct the class as they level up to purple belt onwards.
