COMMUNITY - We Learn From One Another
At RIMYI, self-practice is one of the most deeply observed and valued aspects of the practice. Practitioners of different levels share the same space, each absorbed in their own practice, yet quietly learning from one another.
A correction received.
A demonstration observed.
A question asked.
A teacher’s instruction remembered.
A practitioner’s way of approaching an asana noticed.
Nothing is learned in isolation.
In the hall, we learn not only from our teachers, but also through observing, listening and practising alongside one another. The experience of the community becomes part of our own learning.
And in turn, what we discover through our practice may become a small contribution to someone else’s journey.
No practitioner grows alone.
Community is not simply being together.
It is learning together
growing together
and generously allowing our practice
to illuminate the practice of others.
