3 days & 2 nights of immersive fantasy Live Action Roleplaying is BACK! This time, we are doing things with a bit of a twist!

Unlike previous multi-day events, Maelstrom: Sanctuary is an almost entirely player-driven experience. Game Masters will act as facilitators, giving you the freedom to explore your own stories.

The skills, economy, crafting, and optional combat you love are all still here, but without looming threats or intense plot beats.

Slow down, immerse yourself in the world, and see where your character’s story takes you.

Just Maelstrom Things:

The people of Sanctuary gathered at the Town Hall to learn more about Ankh-Mun culture. Plenty of questions were asked, much to the growing stress of Hashish, bodyguard to the Ankhmunite representative, as he frantically referred to his dwarven mirror device for advice.

Bridging the gap between our intimate Maelstrom: Firesides gatherings and our flagship annual event, Maelstrom: Sanctuary offers a more relaxed Live Action Roleplaying experience where you can fully immerse yourself in the fantasy world of Maelstrom.

Set on the peaceful island of Sanctuary, this is a place to slow down and enjoy player-driven stories, learn new in-game skills, forge friendships, and simply live in the world. There are no world-ending threats or sprawling main plotlines, just the freedom to create your own adventure, with the occasional optional combat encounter for those seeking a little excitement.

LARP IS FOR EVERYONE!

Live Action Roleplaying (LARP) is not a protected or trademarked term in Malaysia. It should never be.

If you want to make a LARP, do it! We would love to help guide and support LARPs in Malaysia even if we are not the organizer for them. We encourage everyone to organize their own events and proudly call them Malaysian LARPs.

To avoid confusion within the community, we simply ask that other organizations do not use our logo or represent themselves as MyLARP events or any associated properties such as Maelstrom or Minutes to Midnight. Beyond that, name your events however you'd like!
