Malaysia Women Marathon The Malaysia Women Marathon is an annual event that celebrates International Women's Day, since 2013 who says women cant run the marathon!!

The first Malaysia Women Marathon (MWM) was held in the year 2013 at the city of Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The objective of this marathon is to celebrate the strength and quiet resolute of women in developing their family, nation and the world. In that respect, the event creates the platform for women to come together and celebrate the International Women's day. Distance categories consist o

f a full marathon, half marathon,10km run and a 5km fun run. The male entry is on condition : husbands, sons, fathers, brothers, coach, trainer, and only for the full marathon and half marathon distance as a personal pace. They must never run ahead of the pacee else both will get disqualified. All in all, its an event for us women to come together and inspire one another whether to go get that marathon completed or to start their first journey to running. Lets go out there and show em!

Public Service Announcement:

We would like to announce that the Larian IWD scheduled for this morning did not take place. All registered participants have either received full refunds or had their registrations transferred to the upcoming Selangor Half Marathon, which we are assisting in organizing.

After much deliberation, the committee has decided not to postpone the Larian IWD to a later date in June, as it would no longer align with the spirit of International Women’s Day and would overlap with preparations for the Selangor Half Marathon.

We sincerely thank the running community for their patience, understanding, and continuous support.

We look forward to welcoming everyone at the Selangor Half Marathon on 28th June 2026. Please hurry to sign up if you have not registered as the slots are 75% taken up to date. Here is the registration link for the event : https://www.selangorhalfmarathon.com/

Hak. Keadilan. Tindakan.

Itulah tema International Women’s Day 2026 daripada UN Women — kerana realitinya, ramai wanita dan kanak-kanak perempuan masih berdepan halangan besar untuk mendapatkan keadilan.

Laporan UN Women menunjukkan wanita hanya menerima kira-kira 64% daripada hak perundangan yang dinikmati lelaki. Dalam 70% negara yang dikaji, wanita menghadapi lebih banyak halangan untuk mengambil tindakan undang-undang dan mendapatkan keadilan.

Mengapa ini berlaku?

Kerana ramai wanita terpaksa berhadapan dengan:
• Ketakutan – takut tidak dipercayai, dipersalahkan, atau dibalas.
• Tekanan sosial – stigma, rasa malu, atau dipaksa untuk berdiam diri.
• Kos yang tinggi – yuran guaman, pengangkutan, kehilangan pendapatan, dan tanggungjawab menjaga keluarga.
• Sistem yang kompleks – birokrasi, kelewatan kes, dan proses yang memenatkan emosi.
• Diskriminasi dan bias dalam institusi dan masyarakat.

Akses kepada keadilan bermakna:
✔ Keselamatan – perlindungan daripada keganasan.
✔ Maruah – didengar dan dipercayai.
✔ Pemulihan – sokongan dan keadilan untuk mangsa.
✔ Pencegahan – menghentikan kitaran keganasan.

Apabila wanita mempunyai akses kepada keadilan, keganasan boleh dihentikan lebih awal, pelaku dipertanggungjawabkan, dan masyarakat menjadi lebih selamat.

Kerana hak tanpa keadilan tidak bermakna — dan keadilan memerlukan tindakan.
