About an hour eastwards from our dive centre at Pulau Tinggi, Johor, are Pulau Dayang and Pulau Aur, where the remains of an Omura's whale has laid on bare rocks for several years, unidentified. Read about how Dr Ponnampalam from MareCet Marine Mammal Research & Conservation identified those remains just recently! It is certainly a very special discovery, meaning these whales could be living within our larger Pulau Tinggi sea vicinity!

One of the "resident star species" that can be found very commonly at the footsteps of our dive center in Pulau Tinggi, Johor, is now featured on the BBC! We are waiting to welcome divers back once inter-state travel restrictions are lifted within Malaysia! Please stay tuned and bear with us as we work towards re-opening sometime this year. In the meantime, please read all about this amazing sea slug!

Much like its herbivorous namesake, the ocean-dwelling "leaf sheep" grazes for food; however, it supplements its diet in a unique way: through the power of the sun.

Good morning everyone! At Duyong Dive Center, seahorses are one of the stars of the dive trips we take guests on. They are commonly found in the seagrass meadows around Pulau Tinggi. Our very own Dr Adam Lim, Malaysia's leading seahorse specialist, has recently produced a beautiful kid's storybook about Wei Wei the seahorse and his seagrass home. The book was beautifully illustrated by Ammi Art Studio and is in dual language (English and Mandarin). You can now PRE-ORDER your book in various formats (e-book, signed hard copy, etc.). Help Dr Adam get his book published and printed, purchase your copy today at the link below! Funds from the sales will also be channeled towards Save Our Seahorses Malaysia's seahorse conservation efforts.

The children's book tells the story of a seahorse in its habitat, including amazing facts about seahorses. A portion goes to SOS Malaysia.
