Persatuan Seni Varma Adimurai Silambam Malaysia has made the nation proud with an outstanding performance at the 1st World Adimurai Championship 2026, held in Kanyakumari, India.

Representing Malaysia on the international stage, the team delivered an impressive medal haul of 27 Gold Medals, 17 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals, bringing home a total of 47 medals.

Adding to the remarkable achievement, the Malaysian contingent also emerged as the Overall Champions in both the Senior and Super Senior Categories, marking a proud milestone for the association and for Malaysia’s traditional martial arts community.

The achievement reflects the dedication, discipline and hard work of the athletes, coaches and team members who carried the Malaysian flag proudly on the world stage.

Adimurai and Silambam are deeply rooted traditional martial arts, and achievements like this continue to bring greater international recognition to the art, while inspiring the younger generation to preserve and carry forward this important cultural heritage.
