Persatuan Karate Negeri Melaka MAKA as Persatuan Karate Negeri Melaka was officially registered on 18th OCT 1988 with total represe He engaged in karate since he was 16 years old.

Datuk Kyoshi Lau Puan Long the President of Melaka Karate Association and Chief Instructor of Melaka Shorin-Ryu Seibukan Karate was born in Melaka on 31st OCT 1956. He achieved till 8th DAN (Kyoshi) and he was produced many Champions and Exponent from Melaka. Datuk Kyoshi Lau Puan Long has contributed tremendously to the development of Karate in Melaka and has represented the country in many inter

national championship around the world. He has conferred PBM in 1993, PJK in 1996, DSM in 2009, and D.P.S.M (Datukship) by the Melaka State Governor in 2010. MAKA was followed the style of MALAYSIA SHORIN-RYU SEIBUKAN KARATE which has been founded by Datuk Hanshi Chin Mok Sung in 1966 and registered in 1970 as one of the original Karate styles formally systermatized in Okinawa Japan. MAKA also affiliated to MALAYSIA KARATE FEDERATION (MAKAF), Member of Melaka State Sports Counsil (Ahli Majlis, Majlis Sukan Negeri Melaka (MSN) and registered under Akta Pembangunan Sukan 1997 (No. Pendaftaran 0817/2000).

Is to Train, Expose, Produce and Deliver quality Karate Ka represent State and National. To impose the imperative of health to strengthens heart and bones, builds muscles, creates resilience, develops hand-eye coordination and also to develop patience and discipline.

To produce a quality Karate exponent with given adequate exposures, skills and competency. Also to well equip them up to the standart of our National and International arena.
