A special mention goes to Muhammad Danial Hakim bin Zulkaisi for his phenomenal triple gold achievement, demonstrating exceptional talent, determination and racing intelligence on the national stage.
Equally deserving of recognition is Afif Darwysh bin Mohamad Nazir, whose remarkable campaign yielded two gold medals and one silver medal, showcasing his consistency and class against the nation’s best.
Congratulations also to Awang Faries Danish bin Awang Faizal for securing multiple podium finishes, and to every Sarawak rider who gave their all wearing the State colours with pride.
These achievements are the result of countless hours of training, sacrifice and commitment, not only from our athletes, but also from our dedicated coaches, team officials, support staff and families whose unwavering support continues to drive Sarawak cycling forward.
SCA would also like to place on record our sincere appreciation to Majlis Sukan Negeri Sarawak (MSNS) and Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) for their continued support, investment and belief in the development of Sarawak cycling athletes. Their commitment to high-performance sport has been instrumental in creating opportunities for our riders to excel on the national stage.
We also acknowledge the wider Sarawak cycling ecosystem comprising our affiliated clubs, coaches, development programmes, officials, volunteers, parents and supporters, all of whom have played an important role in nurturing and preparing our athletes for success. These achievements are a reflection of what can be accomplished when the entire Sarawak cycling community comes together with a shared purpose: to develop our athletes, strengthen our pathways and proudly raise the Sarawak flag across Malaysia.
As we continue our journey towards greater success, including preparations for future national assignments and SUKMA, these performances reaffirm that the future of Sarawak cycling is bright.
