SARAWAK JUNIORS SHINE AT NATIONAL MEET

Congratulations to the Sarawak Junior Taekwondo (WT) Team under Persatuan Taekwondo Negeri Sarawak (TM/WT) for their outstanding achievement at the 15th TM-KBS-Milo National Junior Taekwondo (WT) Championship 2026 held at N9 Arena, Negeri Sembilan from 15–17 May 2026.

A total of 93 junior athletes representing Sarawak, selected from affiliated clubs across various divisions throughout the state, proudly competed against more than 1,700 athletes from all over Malaysia in this prestigious national championship.

Through determination, discipline, and fighting spirit, Team Sarawak successfully brought home an impressive medal tally:
🥇 4 Gold Medals
🥈 4 Silver Medals
🥉 8 Bronze Medals
🏆 1st Runner-Up Overall Team
🏆 Overall Champion (12–14 Years Poomsae Category)

This remarkable achievement reflects the continuous commitment and dedication of Persatuan Taekwondo Negeri Sarawak (TM/WT), the official governing body for WT Taekwondo in Sarawak, in developing young athletes through a recognised training syllabus, structured coaching system, and official competition pathway.

From their very first step as juniors, our athletes are guided systematically within recognised WT Taekwondo programmes and competitions, preparing them not only for national success but also for future international opportunities.

A heartfelt thank you and congratulations to all athletes, coaches, parents, officials, supporters, and affiliated clubs for your hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering support. Your collective efforts continue to raise the standard of Taekwondo WT in Sarawak.

YB TUAN AZIZUL ANNUAR ADENAN RE-ELECTED AS PRESIDENT OF PERSATUAN TAEKWONDO NEGERI SARAWAK (TM/WT)

YB Tuan Azizul Annuar Adenan has been re-elected as President of Persatuan Taekwondo Negeri Sarawak (TM/WT) during the Association’s 17th Annual General Meeting 2026, recently held at Taman Heritage, Petra Jaya.

The meeting was conducted smoothly and orderly, with strong support and unity from all members present.

The newly elected office bearers for the 2026–2028 term are as follows:

In his speech, YB Tuan Azizul Annuar Adenan expressed his sincere appreciation to all members and the newly elected executive committee for their unwavering support, commitment, and unity throughout his tenure.

He also highlighted the upcoming series of Taekwondo championships and development programmes scheduled for 2026.

“Persatuan Taekwondo Negeri Sarawak (TM/WT) is well prepared in grooming the Sarawak SUKMA Taekwondo (WT) team, with the full support from the Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) and Majlis Sukan Negeri Sarawak (MSNS), for the forthcoming Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) XXII 2026 to be held in Selangor this August,” he said in a statement released by the Association.

In preparation for the SEA Games 2027 Taekwondo (WT) event to be hosted in Kuching, Sarawak, the Association, as co-organiser in support of the host, Taekwondo Malaysia (TM/WT), has commenced its initial meetings and preparations on general organisational matters.

A Powerful Close to an Unforgettable Championship

As the curtains fall on the PTNS–SSC–MSNS State Taekwondo (WT) Kyorugi & Poomsae Championship 2026, we celebrate not just the end of a competition, but the spirit of unity, discipline, and passion that defined every moment.

The closing ceremony, graced by YB Tuan Johnny Pang Leong Ming, Ahli DUN N.68 Tanjong Batu, marked a proud and meaningful conclusion to an extraordinary event ~ one that brought together a vibrant community of athletes, coaches, referees, volunteers, and supporters.

From the first kick to the final bow, the championship was a powerful display of resilience, determination, and the indomitable spirit of Taekwondo. This is more than a sport ~ it is a journey, a legacy, and a source of inspiration for generations to come.

With immense pride and gratitude, we reflect on the success of this championship, which united 830 participants and officials from 172 institutions across Sarawak, including primary and secondary schools, colleges, and universities. Together, they shared not only competition, but a meaningful journey of perseverance, sacrifice, and dreams.

Our deepest appreciation goes to YB Tuan Azizul Annuar Adenan, President of Persatuan Taekwondo Negeri Sarawak (TM/WT), YB Tuan Johnny Pang Leong Ming, Grand Master Tan Check Joon, State Technical Chairman of Persatuan Taekwondo Negeri Sarawak (TM/WT), both the Executive and Technical Committees, Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC), Majlis Sukan Negeri Sarawak (MSNS), Taekwondo Malaysia (TM/WT), Nestlé Sdn. Bhd., and all supporting agencies for their unwavering belief and support in making this vision a reality.

This was never just a competition. It was a platform where dreams were ignited, resilience was strengthened, and the spirit of Taekwondo shone in its fullest brilliance.

To everyone who stood with us over these unforgettable two days ~ thank you for your energy, your encouragement, and your belief.
