Wondering...how to make sugar ehh ??๐Ÿค”
Good read below ๐Ÿ˜Š.
You can easily make brown sugar from sugar cane by first extracting the juice from the cane. This can be done by crushing and pressing the canes. The juice should then be filtered through fine cotton cloth to remove any debris before gently simmering on the stove to draw off most of the water. As the water evaporates the sugar should start to crystallise, this can be aided by sprinkling in a spoon of ready made sugar crystals and by stirring with a wooden spoon. Leave the remaining paste of sugar crystals and juice to dry out over a few days to yield brown sugar.

Making white sugar is a little more intensive and complex, and requires drawing off the brown coloured molasses that surround the sugar crystals. On a small scale, this can be done by preparing a saturated solution of brown sugar in water and adding some white sugar crystals to seed crystallisation. Over time, these crystal will grow as the pure sugar crystallises out of the brown sugar solution. These cubes of sugar can then be powdered to yield white sugar.

Hi guys our team is currently on a plain research of hearing stories about dragon/serpent of borneo. Growing up hearing our elderly talks about this creature whereby most of them describe as dragon/serpent (ancient old snake) we somehow were fascinated knowing about how this creature have become the folklore and tales of the dayak beliefs. Here is an excerpt covered about Logan Bunut dragon. Stay updated guys.

Legend has it that the Berawan of Loagan Bunut settled in Sungai Lelak Tinjar but moved up to the lake where fish were aplenty centuries ago.

It is said that the Berawanโ€™s fishing and hunting activities had resulted in the creation of the lake, which in Berawan is called loagan.

The legend tells of a man who went hunting in the jungle one day but never returned. The headman sent a man to look for him but he too did not return. The following day, another person was sent to search for the missing men and the same thing happened.

Curious, the headman went himself. After a while, he was exhausted and sat down to rest under a tall tapang tree.

Suddenly, he heard a strange noise. As he looked around, he saw a huge dragon near the tree with its head on the ground and its tail making a lot of noise swaying the tree top. He also saw the dragon swallowing his three men.

Saddened, he quietly made his way home to inform his fellow villagers.

They immediately prepared poison darts and went back into the forest seeking revenge. Using blowpipes, they shot at the dragon and killed it. The dead beast was carried back to the village, cut up and distributed to the villagers.

While cooking, they heard a strange sound coming from the meat. This scared them and they fled from the village to a place called Bukit Let.

The remains from the cut-up dragon turned into pieces of rocks, which are still visible in the lake until today.

During the prolonged dry season, the rocks are put into a fire to invoke rain.

Gawai / Gawea / Gawe means festival or ritual. Meanwhile Dayak are the native, or indigenous peoples of Borneo!!
The mode of celebrations of Gawai Dayak vary from place to place and preparations begin early.
The highlight of this celebration is ngabang (Visiting). Families invite friends and relatives into their homes to eat some of the traditional foods and drinks. Most common dishes are Manok / Ayam Pansoh (Chicken cooked in bamboo), Lemang (Bamboo sticky rice) Salai (smoked meat / fish), local vegetables such as Midin (wild fern) and many more! And oooohhhaaa ๐Ÿป๐Ÿฅ‚...some traditional home made rice wine (Tuak)!! Today most Dayak celebrate with beer or whiskey too ๐Ÿ˜‰
Gawai Dayak is one of the best times to visit Sarawak. The season where festivities are aplenty and the lifestyle comes alive, embracing visitors within the celebrations.
