With deep sorrow, Persatuan Akuatik Pahang mourns the passing of Coach Ong Jin Kooi, a true legend and respected figure in the Malaysian swimming community.
Coach Ong dedicated much of his life to the sport he loved. Through his passion, commitment, and leadership, he played an important role in shaping and developing swimming in Malaysia. His contributions went far beyond the pool .He inspired swimmers, guided coaches, and helped build the foundation of the swimming community we know today.
Although he was not directly part of our association, his influence and service to Malaysian aquatics earned the respect and admiration of many across the country. His legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched and the generations of athletes he inspired.
Today, the Malaysian swimming fraternity has lost not only a great coach, but also a mentor, leader, and passionate servant of the sport.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, swimmers, and all who knew him during this difficult time.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy forever remain in the hearts of the swimming community.
