Malaysia Pro Cycling (MPC) domination of the top positions at the 2025 came to an end today after the completion of stage 7 in Marang.

Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) Adne Willejem Van Engelen won the stage in a dramatic fashion after passing MPC Cristian Raileanu after the final KOM zone to finish the race 26 seconds ahead of the Cahaya Raudah Foundation yellow jersey holder.

The Romanian, who still won the yellow jersey for this stage, would be on his toes to prevent any mishap from happening during the last stage tomorrow in Kuala Terengganu as the gap between him and the Dutchman is only 27 seconds.

The duo swapped places for the stage sprint and KOM competitions, Van Engelen taking the sprint win and Raileanu winning the climber competition.

However there will be no question about who will keep the Ladang Rakyat green jersey and the TDM Berhad polka dot jersey as Armed Forces duo, Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil and Muhammad Zawawi Azman have secure enough points to win the two categories respectively.

The will be no sprint and KOM competition during the criterium race tomorrow night.

Another potential change is the MSNT white jersey with current holder Jonas Muller of MPC leads second place Kee Zhe Yie of TSG by 35 seconds. The Swiss rider finished in second position of the Under-23 category behind Zhe Yie with Alex Pickering of Ride Revolution Coaching taking third place.

Muhamad Hakimi Haiqal Ahmad Sabri of RCF looks set to become the best local club rider with a healthy 1:20 lead over his closest challenger, Muhammad Shaiful Adlan Mohamad Shukri. The PDRM rider took the stage best local club rider with Hakimi Haiqal finishing second. Mohamad Rozli Hafiz finished in third place.

Another Armed Forces rider, Muhammad Zawawi Azman looked set to become the King of Mountain for this edition when he won the two KOM zones during today's stage. The wins saw Zawawi collecting another four points which brought his overall total to nineteen, letting him keep the TDM Berhad polka dot jersey.

Despite keeping the white jersey, Muller was yet to win any stage in the under-23 category, something that Pontianak Wijaya Racing, Naufal Faris Taufiqulhakim found quite easy to do.

The Indonesian youngster won the stage best young rider for the third time this edition while Terengganu Muhammad Adam Ramdzan Razali finished second for the second successive stage. Mohamad Darwisy Hakimi Zarin of Selangor grabbed the third place.

Terengganu Cycling Academy, Mohamad Zamri Salleh continued setting good example to his understudies by winning the local club rider competition, his second of the tour but the KBS orange jersey remained firmly in the hands of RCA Cycling rider, Muhamad Hakimi Haiqal Ahmad Sabri.

Malaysia Pro Cycling (MPC) rider, Cristian Raileanu was first to the finish line with Wan Abdul Rahman Hamdan of Terengganu Cycling Team (TSG) finishing second. Mohamad Harrif Salleh finished third, ensuring the Armed Forces would be represented on the podium for the third successive stage.

The same three riders also won the stage sprint competition but the Ladang Rakyat green jersey remained in the hands of Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil of the Armed Forces who gained another six points by finishing fifth in the stage to bring his tally to thirty.

However Izzat Hilmi is being closely pursued by Wan Abdul Rahman and PDRM Muhammad Elmi Jumari on 28 and 26 points respectively.

Another TSG rider took the podium when Zuladri Amin Zulkurnain won the stage KOM competition, pipping Jeroen Meijers of TSS X Keropok Bayu Cycling Team into second place while Muhammad Zawawi Azman of the Armed Forces was placed third.

The podium finish saw Zawawi opened a considerable gap at the top of the overall standing of best climber classification, giving him a good chance to keep the TDM Berhad polka dot jersey until the end of the tour.

Terengganu Team Muhamad Iqbal Daniel Mohamad Nawawi emerged as the stage best under-23 rider though Pontianak Wijaya Racing Team continued to make big impression with their two riders, Naufal Faris Taifiqulhakim and Rizky Ridho Riyadiyanto finishing second and third respectively.

However the MSNT white jersey still remained in the possession of MPC rider, Jonas Muller who is ahead by 38 seconds in front of TSG Kee Zhe Ye.

Mohamad Zamri Salleh went one better on the podium for this stage as he won the best local club rider competition, seeing off the challenge from Chan Jian Le of MBPJ Cycling Team and Mohamad Hafiz Rozli, who now had finished third in the competition for the third successive stage.

However the KBS orange jersey is still in the hands of Muhamad Hakimi Haiqal Ahmad Sabri who is now 1:40 ahead of Hafiz at the end of today's race.

The only jersey any rider could not hold on to is the Cahaya Raudah Foundation yellow jersey as Rileanu reclaimed it from his MPC team-mate, Callum MacLeod having won it before in Hulu Terengganu.

The 2025 entered it's third stage today with Dungun becoming the next district to host the event. The start/finish line was at the Kelab Golf Desa Dungun near the UiTM Terengganu Dungun Campus.

The 150.30 km loop offered three sprint zones at Sekolah Kebangsaan Paka, Al Muktafibillah Shah R&R Area and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Padang Pulut together with two climbing zones, a category 2 KOM at Bukit Bambir and a category 4 KOM at Bukit Boh Ja.

On a sunny race day, PDRM Muhammad Ermi Jumari was first to the most scenic finish line of the tour with RCF Racing Team Lucas Carstensen following closely behind in second place. Yesterday's stage winner, Mohamad Izzat Hilmi Abdul Halil of the Armed Forces secured his second podium of this edition by grabbing third place.

It was another bunch finish just like the second stage in Hulu Terengganu, and just like yesterday, the top three finishers were also the best sprinters for the stage. Izzat Hilmi finishing as the third best sprinter for the stage meant he kept the Ladang Rakyat green jersey as the overall leader in the category, amassing 24 points just two points ahead of Ermi.

Muhammad Zawawi Azman of the Armed Forces also get to keep his TDM Berhad polka dot jersey as the overall leader in the King of Mountain category despite not getting any point today. Instead it was his team-mates, Muhammad Yusri Shaari and Muhammad Nur Aiman Rosli finishing first and third respectivley, sandwiching Nichol Pareja of Terengganu Cycling Team TSS in second place.

Another rider getting to keep his overall leader jersey was Muhamad Hakimi Haiqal Ahmad Sabri of RCF in the best local club rider category and with it the KBS orange jersey. Despite finishing the stage in 14th place it was enough to put him on the podium as the stage best local club rider with Terengganu Cycling Academy (TCA) Mohamad Zamri Saleh in second place. Mohamad Hafiz Rozli of MIFH Cycling Group finishing third meant it was a repeat of yesterday's podium at Hulu Terengganu.

Pontianak Wijaya Racing Naufal Faris Taufiqulhakim emerged as the best under-23 rider for the second successive stage but the MSNT white jersey as the overall leader remained in the hands of Jonas Muller of Malaysia Pro Cycling Team (MPC). TCA made it a double podium finishers with Zulfahmi Aiman Zulkurnain and Mohamad Afi Danial Ramli Abu Bakar finishing in second and third place respectively.

The only jersey that kept changing hands was the Raudah Cahaya Foundation yellow jersey. Callum MacLeod became the third rider to get the jersey, taking over from his MPC team-mate, Cristian Raileanu.

MPC continued to lead the overall standing with RCF Cycling Team and Ride Revolution Coaching were trying their best to catch up.
