𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 is a teacher qualification program that comprises three in-person training modules, two online modules and the final examination. Self-mastery & observation and apprentice teaching sessions form part of the qualification requirements.

𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝗻-𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳:
Gateway Mat 1 (2 days) - the first step to build foundation through preparatory and original pilates mat exercises, with ample of realtime practice of the sequences.

Mat Intermediate (2 days) - adding depth to what was learned in Gateway with additional pilates mat exercises, and the Polestar Pilates Principles are incorporated into the learning process, to provide a clear understanding of the underlying fundamentals of each mat exercise. Verbal, tactile and imagery cues are used to facilitate motor learning.

Mat Advance (1 day) - bringing all together with the remaining pilates mat exercises, and the Polestar Pilates Principles are applied to verbal, tactile and combined cueing. Students are provided with analysis and feedback on instructional styles to enhance teaching outcomes.

𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲:
Gateway online (3 hours) - a pre-requisite for attending Gateway Mat module. This on-line course consists of three lectures: Pilates history and evolution, Polestar movement principles and professional ethics and scope of practice.

Polestar Principle Online - this non-apparatus online course applies current research in movement science, biomechanics, kinesiology and motor learning to instructional practice through six basic movement principles that are utilised throughout the Polestar curriculum.

The four courses are:
1) 𝗣𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 (6 days) - the first step of the education program to provide a foundational understanding of the exercises and prepare students physically for the Foundation Course.

2) 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 (9 days) - a comprehensive learning journey that provides a more in-depth understanding of the exercises and the specific skills and techniques to teach these exercise sequences to others.
