When your leadership style ends up on the Kiss Cam...
Let’s talk about the recent Coldplay concert kisah panas.
Yes, that one — where a CEO and HR head got caught on the stadium screen looking... a bit too friendly 😬
Now, I’m not here to judge — don't want to be netizen #456.
But as a Confidence & Communication Coach for first-time leaders in Malaysia... I am here to say:
You’re always communicating — even when you think you’re off-duty.
In leadership, everything you do — from how you duduk in a meeting, to how you borak with colleagues at mamak — tells a story.
Body language is louder than a PA system at Stadium Bukit Jalil.
Whether it was innocent or not — here’s what we can all learn as Malaysian leaders:
You tidak perlu mic untuk bagi “statement.”
Because when you’re in a leadership position:
That eye roll during a Zoom call? Your team saw it.
That selfie with your team at Nasi Kandar hot spot? Public perception alert.
That moment at a concert with your colleague... boleh jadi headline berita (or viral TikTok 😅).
So here’s my quick reminder to all new team leads, managers, and emerging leaders:
Build your Leadership Reflex
That means being intentional:
When you’re out with colleagues
When your social media is half personal, half professional
When you tidak sedar orang tengah rakam dekat belakang 😬
Because these days, your leadership isn’t just about KPIs and reports.
It’s your vibe, presence, and integrity — on and off the clock.
And in Malaysia, where we all know someone who knows someone… reputation travels fast.
What do you think — is the pressure to “jaga image” 24/7 too much? Or just part of being a leader in 2025?
Let’s sembang in the comments.👇
