Pacifiers & breastfeeding
Are they helping or hurting your baby?

This is one of the most common questions I get from parents.

The truth is, pacifiers are not “good” or “bad”. It all comes down to how, when, and why they are used.

Babies have a strong need to suck. It is how they regulate, feel safe, and calm their nervous system. In fact, you are the original pacifier.

But when pacifiers are used too early, too often, or to delay feeds, they can sometimes interfere with breastfeeding, hunger cues, and effective milk removal.

• How to use them sparingly and intentionally
• What to look for in a pacifier design

🍷 Drinking Alcohol While Breastfeeding? No Need to Pump & Dump

Yes, you can enjoy a drink while breastfeeding, even during the festive holiday season 🎄✨

Rule of thumb:
👉 Sober enough to drive, sober enough to feed.

Alcohol leaves your breastmilk the same way it leaves your blood, over time. Pumping and dumping does not remove alcohol faster. Time does.

So go ahead and enjoy that Christmas dinner, family gathering, or holiday celebration, mindfully and without guilt.

✔️ Have a drink
✔️ Feed baby before or after, when you are sober
✔️ No unnecessary pumping
✔️ No wasted milk

Breastfeeding is about balance, not perfection.
