When her mum first contacted me, she told me her daughter 7 years old and very scared of the water.
I told her, “No worries at all”

She started with fear of the water and no prior knowledge of swimming, breathing or water safety.

Learning to swim cannot be rushed.

Especially for those who are extremely fearful of water, confidence and water awareness must come first.

I’ve met swimmers who can swim basic freestyle or other strokes, but still struggle with breathing, floating, going underwater, turning, stopping and recovering safely.

This client came for a short stay and attended my intensive private sessions. Before correcting her breaststroke and introducing freestyle, we first worked on the foundations she was missing.

Knowing a stroke doesn’t always mean you are comfortable or in control in the water.

My teaching starts with:

Feel the water — understand how the body moves and reacts in water.

Every swimmer learns differently. With 1-to-1 coaching, I can work at the swimmer’s pace, build the right foundation and develop confidence and control step by step.

Feel safe. Build control. Then learn to swim.
