Think of the best leader you've ever worked with. Was it their strategy or trustworthiness that made you want to give your 100%?
I had one leader who really lived out the principles of Positive Psychology. When I was relatively still junior in my previous company, this leader entrusted me with a high profile project because he knew I was competent enough for it. That gave me more motivation to deliver as expected.
Today, even when we're not colleagues anymore, we still have a close friendship and he still offers me beneficial projects. This is the enduring effect of trust.
