Southeast Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships!
Star Elite Players Bringing Glory to Malaysia!

At the recently concluded Southeast Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships, three young players from Star Elite delivered outstanding performances, earning a total of two golds, two silvers, and one bronze for Malaysia—an impressive achievement!

Among them, Im Jin Zhen stood out with a particularly remarkable performance. Not only did he break Malaysia’s long-standing gold medal drought in the U19 Boys’ Singles, but he also defeated a strong opponent from Singapore 4-2 in the final to claim the prestigious singles title! In addition, Jin Zhen earned a silver in the U19 Boys’ Team Event and a bronze in Boys’ Doubles, making this trip to Indonesia a truly rewarding and breakthrough experience.

Another young talent, Lam Ee Sim, who made his debut representing the U19 boys, entered the tournament with a learning mindset and still came away with a silver medal in the team event.

Also our girl player Gan Ai Lis also delivered an impressive performance in the U19 Girls’ category! She triumphed in the Girls’ Doubles final, defeating a strong pair from Singapore to claim another gold for Malaysia! She also contributed a silver medal in the team event, showcasing both her competitiveness and consistency.

The stellar performances of these young athletes not only highlight their individual strength but also reflect the vast potential of Malaysia’s next generation of table tennis stars. We look forward to seeing them continue to ride the wave of success in future international competitions!

Thank you to all the players for actively participating in this first friendly match, filled with camaraderie and competitive spirit! This event not only provided players with an opportunity to showcase their skills and exchange techniques but also strengthened connections and interactions among table tennis enthusiasts.

Each country can only nominate 1-2 coaches for the program, and Coach Yvonne’s selection not only highlights her expertise but also signifies her recognition as an *International Level Coach*, qualifying her to participate in future international events. 👏
