Experience with 50 years, in Kuala Kangsar, the proprietor Ming Yean Fang and Ming Fook Woh (his son) are expert in badminton racket stringing. The shop is located in Jalan Kuala Kangsar called Kwong Luan Heng. Many in here love to play badminton, all ethnic groups all are his customers, the shop name has been stretched far and wide afar in Kuala Kangsar, at least you can say, everybody knows this shop. In addition to selling to the racket and sporting goods, also have plenty of fishing equipments and toys. Anyone who has badminton racket broken or deformed would find the door in Kwong Luan Heng shop, to see Ming Fook Woh who will repair and restring them until customer is happy with the services. In 1947 started the running of the business, Ming Yean Fang (73 years), an interview, said that right from the age of 22 he started badminton stringing service. Due to changing of times, the population increase and those who also love badminton also increase, the business also increase. He said that in the beginning only a wooden machine, stringing badminton racket in the line of work is more slowly. However, not much business at the time, he can handle with ease, until only 20 years ago he bought an iron machine. This is not only helps increase efficiency, but also increase the standard badminton racket. Later, because the increase in business, one machine has been insufficient, an additional one was bought for his son Ming Fook Woh, more to a father and son partners. He pointed out that the busiest period is after a badminton tournament, held in the Thomas Cup in particular, during or after the game, the atmosphere can be aroused people to play badminton, we have a surge in sales of badminton racket and restringing badminton racket has also increased, really busy in the whole day, sometimes 50 a day received a racket, father and son were busy day and night and completed all overnight, because tomorrow we have fresh orders from customers. He recall in 1992, Malaysia won the Thomas Cup, but also into the finals in 1994, when there are people in the streets to play badminton in the road. Of course, stringing racket business is getting better, if we have more Thomas Cup tournaments! As the Ming's has accumulated 50 years of experience with good hand skill, weaving a racket in the line, look like a really easy task, but his son Ming Fook Woh said that hand-weaving string can not be careless not fast, for one hour, he is only able to weave a good two badminton rackets.
