Together with fellow island stakeholders and tourist, we removed 40 kg of ghost nets from the waters of Coral Bay, Perhentian Island. These abandoned fishing nets continue trapping and killing marine life long after they have been discarded, causing immense damage to our coral reefs and the creatures that depend on them.

The ocean has given us so much livelihoods, adventure, memories, and a place we call home. Protecting it is not the responsibility of a few, it takes a community that cares enough to act.

Every piece of debris removed matters. Every effort counts. And every person who chooses to speak up and take action becomes part of the solution.

🌊 ALERT: Rising Sea Temperature! 🌡️

Over the past few days, we have observed sea temperatures rising up to 31°C around Perhentian Island. This increase may seem small, but for coral reefs, it can cause serious stress and lead to coral bleaching.

Now more than ever, we must react together to minimise the stressors on our lovely coral reefs. They need our help. 💙

What we can do:
🐠 Perfect your buoyancy
🐠 Look, don’t touch coral
🐠 Use reef-safe sunscreen
🐠 Keep a safe distance from marine life
🐠 Take all trash with you
🐠 Join or do underwater clean-ups
🐠 Be a responsible diver

Healthy reefs mean healthy oceans, and healthy oceans mean our future.

Be the voice of the sea. Protect what you love before it’s too late. 🌏🌊

D’Lagoon Beach Clean-Up 🌊♻️

What a meaningful day with an amazing team 💙
Sea Voice Divers, Perhentian Marine Research Station (PMRS) & Alunan Resort came together with 13 dedicated volunteers to give D’Lagoon the care it deserves.

Together, we removed 206.1kg of trash with over 1000 plastic bottles collected from just one beach. Let that sink in.

Every piece we picked up is one less threat to our ocean, marine life, and future.

This is a reminder that small actions, when done together, create real impact. The ocean gives us so much and it’s time we give back.
