100825; ✅ Kenanga Man of Steel 2025

This race was the most important time trial before IM Langkawi. It was a physical test to see if I have been doing enough trainings.

Swim 🏊🏼‍♀️:
Felt consistent with my strokes and I'm happy that I shave off 4mins from my targeted finishing time. Get kicked alot on my thigh though 🫠

Bike 🚴🏼‍♀️:
My last 40km was a nightmare. Started with gear failing to shift, follow by front tyre pancit, and lastly the never ending drop chain/gear shifting issues. I forgot how to change my tyre (coz I've never been in this kind of scenario before lol). Thankfully, saw me at the opposite lane and purposely stopped to help me 🥹 I only had a mini hand pump (which was completely useless btw). So really, I could have DNF.

Luckily one of our Infinity members had some extra CO2 and after pumping it up, I was ready to go.

While Khor did a last check on my bike, he said, "Ah girl, you're very lucky, your bike is ok. Now everything is on you to finish the race."

I look over to the technical officer, and he said, "you're the last cyclist." (but I clearly know I have enough time and I manage to caught up with some cyclists that had better bikes than me pls 😤).

I wasted alot of time on the bike, but I prayed so hard to just wanna reach back. And luckily, I did.

Run 🏃🏻‍♀️:
At this point, my legs were almost in a state of cramping. Ugly cried at km20 coz wtf-why-was-I-even-doing-this-to-torture-myself, but after that I was all smiley and ok lol

Dear organizer/medics, I want to know the brand cramp cream you use coz it's dam power sial. After use d I can keep running non stop 😂🤣

Overall, very grateful for such an organized event. Thank you to the support of the Infinity cheerleader squad and the volunteers/medics/rela/police/TO/sponsors of this event.

But most of all, my mentor/superhero:
Because I nearly could have given up myself, but he didn't allow to give up on me and insisted to stay till my bike was fixed 😂.

And now, the real countdown begins...
T-2.5months to IM Langkawi

The 4th place AG podium was really just a bonus point. If it wasn't my bike issue, I might have gotten 3rd place.

210725; I finally moved in to my new home.

This is to celebrate, not just a new chapter, but the achievements I've made throughout the years in my old home.

🚴🏼‍♀️🚴🏼‍♀️
From transitioning from my first gen bike to my current 3rd gen bike. (Did I mention that I carried my bike up flights of stairs for 5years? My personal hell.)

🏊🏼‍♀️🏊🏼‍♀️
Coming back after a long day of swim classes and small gifts from my students. Milestone achievements to growing as a swim teacher

🌅🌄
Waking up to cold mornings when the neighbourhood is quiet.

🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️
Running 5km within my 1ksqf flat during MCO 🤣 Yes, I'm one of them.

👕👖
First for almost everything: First trisuit, first HM/FM, first OWS, first cycle, first relationship, etc.

My old home is definitely not perfect. It has its flaws.
But if it's perfect, we wouldn't go chasing for something better.

060725; trying out OD at Desaru terrain for the first time. Have heard of it's challenges, but I remained focused despite only having 2-3hours of sleep lol.

Highlights:
⭐ PB'ed my swim leg although my arms felt like bricks
⭐ I learned that I get migraines easily when there's strong winds blowing against me 😱
⭐ Got my first podium in my AG for placing last 😂

Don't mind coming back here again so I can get more podiums 😂 Do the hard stuff that no one does, and you're already a winner 🤣

But no trophy because didn't give one 🙄
