We are pleased to announce the participation of our National Surf Team for the 2nd time in the highly anticipated ASF Asian Surfing Championship 2024.

This pretigious event will take place from the 17th August until 24th August 2024 at K. Thulusdhoo, Maldives or also known as The Cokes Surf Break. This event involves 19 countries across Asia that will be bringing their best surfers to compete in this year 2024 Asian Surfing Championship that is also the qualification event for the Asian Games 2026.

Two highly talented local surfers, Muhamad Nor Afiq Haikal & Norezuani bin Matlin has been selected to represent Malaysia and compete in the Men’s Shortboard Category. It is a moment of great pride for not only Malaysia but also to these athletes in participating this event & bringing our country’s name to the international level. This selection is a showcase of their dedication & hardwork throughout the years which we are pleased to give them the honour and platform to represent Malaysia & showcase their talent in the international stage.

The ASF Asian Surfing Championship 2024 will give our athletes a valuable experience in their journey as well as give them the exposure in competing at a higher level alongside international surfers that they are able to watch & learn from. These two individuals will also be an inspiration to other surfers in our country in encouraging them to pursue in this sport and work hard in becoming a skilled surfer. Furthermore, with this participation, we hope that the potential of this sport will be seen more in our country in bringing out the talents of our local surfers & for this sport to be competed more in the national level event.

We would also like to thank our main sponsor Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN) for our athletes to compete in this event as well as the donors from the crowfund, direct sponsor and state surfing associations for supporting the athletes in joining this pretigious event.
