Recent reports suggest that Sabah may experience more extreme weather in the coming months. We could face hotter days, dry weather, water shortages, haze, and at the same time, sudden heavy rain that may cause flash floods and landslides.

The weather is becoming less predictable, so it is important for everyone to be prepared.

✅ Keep a basic emergency kit (Go Bag) ready.
✅ Store some drinking water and essential supplies.
✅ Follow weather updates from official sources.
✅ Avoid open burning during dry weather.
✅ Stay alert during heavy rain and strong winds.

MetMalaysia has announced the Northeast Monsoon will begin this November 5th. Let's prepare ourselves and our families NOW before the heavy rains arrive.

Suggested Essential Preparation Steps:
✅ Store enough non-perishable food and drinking water for at least 1 week
✅ Prepare an emergency kit with flashlights, batteries, first-aid supplies
✅ Keep important documents in waterproof containers
✅ Clear drains around your property
✅ Have emergency contact numbers ready
✅ Keep power banks fully charged
✅ Prepare evacuation bags for each family member
