Meet the fascinating Stargazer Snake Eel (Brachysomophis cirrocheilos)! 👀🐍

Famous for its crocodile-like face and incredible ambush hunting skills, this elusive predator spends most of its time buried beneath the sand, waiting patiently for unsuspecting prey.

We were lucky to spot this beautiful marine creature at Bidong Island, a wonderful reminder of the island's healthy and thriving underwater ecosystem. 🌊💙

Batfish (family Ephippidae) in Malaysia are known locally as Ikan Telinga Gajah, Ikan Kelawar, or Bawal Tambun. Widely found in shallow coastal waters, estuaries, and coral reefs, the three common species are the Orbicular, Longfin, and Dusky batfish.
