May, you’ve been all about growth 🌊💙

From welcoming new divers to celebrating future dive professionals, this month was packed with achievements, learning, and unforgettable underwater adventures.

We successfully completed an Instructor Training Course and Instructor Evaluation with Aitor, ran our Hybrid Divemaster Program with Mr Shark, Andrew, and YY, and celebrated the completion of Danish’s Conservation-Based Divemaster Internship Program 👏

Our instructors also continued progressing toward their Divemaster Instructor goals through Specialty Instructor Seminars in Deep Diving, Navigation, and Night & Limited Visibility.

May also saw some very special young ocean explorers join us through our kids’ programs, where we focused on ocean communication and shark education. Seeing the next generation develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for our marine world always leaves us feeling inspired 🦈💙

In the water, we shared countless firsts with new divers through Try Scuba, Basic Diver, and Open Water Diver programs. We also welcomed back many familiar faces continuing their underwater adventures through Advanced Open Water Diver and Diver Stress & Rescue courses.

And of course, no month would be complete without the fun dives! From laughter on the boat to incredible moments beneath the waves, every dive reminded us why we love what we do and who we get to share it with.

Different courses, different experiences, different goals — all connected by the same passion for learning, exploration, and the ocean.

A huge thank you to every member of our underwater family who joined us throughout May. Whether you were taking your very first breath underwater, advancing your professional career, or simply enjoying a day of fun diving, we’re grateful to be part of your journey.

Are you coming to MIDE this year?

We’re proud to see our Instructor Trainer, Imo, joining a fantastic group of SSI Professionals for a thought provoking panel discussion at MIDE 2026. Moderated by SSI Regional Manager for SMB, Ricky Koh, the session will explore “Trainer Stories: One Passion, Many Paths.”

From Scuba and Freediving to Mermaids, Swim and XR, this panel brings together trainers from different disciplines, backgrounds, and journeys with a shared passion for teaching, inspiring others, and a deep connection to the water.

The underwater world offers countless pathways, and we’re excited to hear these experienced professionals share their stories, challenges, lessons learned, and what continues to drive their passion for education.

Join us in saying Congratulations to Aitor – Our New SSI Instructor! 🤙

From day one, Aitor has shown an incredible commitment to learning and personal development. His dedication, passion for diving, and willingness to embrace every challenge have made it a pleasure to be part of his journey. Throughout his training, he consistently demonstrated the professionalism, enthusiasm, and growth mindset that define great instructors.

What has stood out most is how naturally Aitor has become part of the Global Scuba Institute and Juara Scuba Academy family. 🐟🐠🐡

His positive attitude, support for others, and genuine love for the underwater world have made him a valued member of our community both in and out of the water.

A special thank you to Vincent for conducting the SSI Instructor Evaluation and helping ensure the highest standards of instructor development.

April, you’ve been all about connection 💙

From Singapore to the shoreline, this month reminded us just how special the dive community really is.

One of the biggest highlights was attending ADEX Singapore — reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and sharing stories, laughs, and a mutual love for the ocean with so many of you. Events like these always remind us how global and connected this industry truly is.

Back in the water, our instructors stayed busy guiding an incredible range of students through their diving journeys — from first breaths underwater in Try Scuba and Basic Diver experiences, through Open Water Diver and Advanced Open Water Diver certifications, to welcoming back our incredible little stars completing a range of Junior Diver programs ⭐

We also ran Diver Stress & Rescue and React Right courses for our returning dive family who were looking to level up this year!

It was great to welcome in our new candidates for our interactive Divemaster program, and continued supporting the growth of past ITC candidates and new Instructors through our Specialty Instructor Seminars focused on the Divemaster Instructor pathway.

And of course, it wouldn’t be April without some unforgettable fun dives. From turtles cruising by effortlessly to vibrant reef life showing off at every site, this month delivered some truly special underwater moments for both our team and visiting divers alike 🐢🌊

Different courses, different backgrounds, different stories — all connected by the same passion for adventure, growth, and the ocean.

Thank you to everyone who spent part of April with us, whether underwater, in the classroom, online, or at ADEX. We’re excited for what’s next.

We’ve officially kicked off our May Instructor Training Course so wanted to share a sneaky peak of how it’s going!

One of the coolest things about this process is watching someone go from “this is all new to me” to “I got this.”

And honestly?
That shift happens faster than people think.

That’s the magic of programs like this. Growth doesn’t happen because everything feels comfortable, it happens because you decide to give something new a shot and feel supported by those around you during the process!

Every ITC journey looks a little different, but they all start the same way with someone deciding to back themselves.

And somewhere between the early nerves, the first wins, and the “I actually can do this” moments… confidence starts showing up too.

We thought we were just heading to ADEX for a great time and to catch up with all of you!

Turns out, we came back with some pretty great surprises too!

We’re beyond stoked to share that we were awarded the SSI Center Performance Award 2025 AND have retained our SSI Diamond Center Award for 2026!

Honestly, the biggest win was being there — reconnecting with our scuba family, meeting new friends and joining our dive community, sharing stories, laughs, and everything we love about this ocean life 🐠💙

But the awards were definitely the cherry on top of a great weekend!

To our amazing dive family and friends — THANK YOU for your constant support, trust, and for being part of this journey with Global Scuba Institute and Juara Scuba Academy 🤿✨

March, you’ve been full of memories 🩵

There’s a different kind of energy when things start building — new goals, new pathways, and divers stepping confidently into the professional space.

This month we kicked off a new Divemaster course, ran another Assistant Instructor Trainer Seminar, and hosted Specialty Instructor seminars focused on guiding candidates along the Divemaster Instructor pathway.

Beyond the professional track, we also continued shaping ocean advocates through our Blue Oceans education system — and proudly certified a new Shark Ecology Specialty Instructor 🦈

Behind the scenes, things have been just as busy. Our team has been running virtual lessons for candidates joining us on our Hybrid Divemaster program (can’t wait to meet you all in April!) while our instructors have been delivering courses through our sister center

It’s been a month of growth, movement, and laying down strong foundations for what’s ahead.
