📃Message from Organizing Chairman of Merdeka Cup Badminton Tournament 📃:

First of all, thank you all for your support of our Merdeka Cup Badminton Tournament. Our event has ended. I am very happy to see so many participants to join our competition.

After two years of COVID pandemic and lockdown, our organizing team is delighted to organize such an event for everyone.

I hereby ask your forgiveness for any inconvenience caused.

Attention to all participates

Because of the overwhelming response to the participation of the Men's Double, it exceeded our expectations. After discussion and decision by the council, we decided to increase the prize money for the Men's Double. The prize increases are as follows:

Champion RM 300 to RM400
1st runner up RM 200 to RM300
2nd runner up RM 150 to RM240

⚠️ATTENTION⚠️ REGISTRATION OPENED❗❗
UTAR students of MPU34102 Management of Sport Activity are organizing a badminton competition which is the “Merdeka Cup” Badminton Tournament. This competition will be held on 20th and 21st August 2022 (Saturday & Sunday).

This is the chance for those who love to play badminton and to encourage the citizens of Kampar to participate in these sports events.

* NOT ALLOWED state players or national players to participate in this competition.
* Age under 18 are NOT ALLOWED to participate in this competition.

Please take note of the rules and regulations of this competition as below:
- The match will be conducted in 30 points before the semifinals and will change to 21 points, 3 sets when semifinals.
- Allows players who wish to participate in single and double.
- 2 shuttlecocks will be provided per game.

Competition details:
Date: 20 – 21 August 2022
Time: 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Venue: Sixbase Sports Arena, Kampar

Registration fees:
Men Single: RM 30
Female Single: RM 20
Female Double: RM 40 per pair
Men Double: RM 50 per pair
Mixed Double: RM 50 per pair

Prize:
MS - Champion RM 200
- 1st runner up RM 150
- 2nd runner up RM 120
MD & MX - Champion RM 300
- 1st runner up RM 200
- 2nd runner up RM 150
Female single - Champion RM 150
- 1st runner up RM 100
- 2nd runner up RM 80
Female double - Champion RM 240
- 1st runner up RM 160
- 2nd runner up RM 120
