When Opportunity Arises, They Shine ✨
The mornings of April 21st to 23rd were a little different for several teenagers from our center.
Instead of their familiar classroom, they stepped into the bustling environment of Crescendo International School to set up their own charity booth. Facing unfamiliar faces and different languages, there was a hint of nervousness in the air—but more than that, there was an unmistakable spark of excitement.
At first, their voices were soft, and their eyes avoided contact. A simple phrase like "Five Ringgit" seemed to require an immense amount of courage.
But slowly, things changed. They started to smile. They began responding to questions and practiced expressing themselves over and over again. They learned how to handle change and, most importantly, how to stay calm when unexpected little hiccups occurred.
In those moments, we didn’t just see "students participating in an activity." We saw young individuals learning how to connect with the world.
On "Inclusion":
We often talk about inclusion, but it is never just a gentle slogan. It requires a real-world setting, a permission to try (and even fail), and an environment willing to open its doors. When the opportunity arises, these children will step out; when a platform exists, they have the chance to be seen. This time, we truly witnessed their transformation.
Our heartfelt thanks to Crescendo-HELP International School for providing this space and platform. Thank you for choosing not just to "care for" our students, but to believe in them, accept them, and invite them to be a true part of the community.
