Low / Reducing friction or suppleness of a fork has always been a hot topic among riders and is also what riders are looking for when the fork is send in for a full rebuild.

Most riders will go for (LOW FRICTION DUST WIPERS), but that is only a temporary solution and will not be effective in reducing friction.

Lower leg bushing resizing or burnishing is the key to a long term solution to solve and reduce friction compared to a temporary short term fix with ( LOW FRICTION DUST WIPERS).

We often get asked by customers why is the ÖHLINS TTX air rear shock service so expensive.

Of course there are third party kits out there which can be used but they in terms of quality and performance it’s no where near or even comparable to the genuine ÖHLINS rebuild kit.

Let me explain what are the differences between the genuine and third party rebuild kit which set it a part.
1. It comes with new seal head and bearing housing to ensure the shaft will not be damage
2. New compression shim, springs and pins to restore performance to factory feel
3. Comes with new hardware to make the shock look like new

Always insist on genuine parts and rebuild kit to ensure factory performance and also to prevent the warranty from being void or compromised.

This fork came in with broken rebound damper shaft adjuster, which requires a new damper shaft assembly.
