Split!
Shuffle shuffle!!
Hit!
Turn the shoulder!!
The wider the shuffle, the more court is covered.

Coach Lee shows the 10 oclock and 2 oclock position of the racket face in preparation of the volley. The non dominant hand is open and very close to the racket handle.
Minimal movement of the head, almost zero take back and take the ball in front. The right eye must be able to see the racket on contact!

Coach Lee feeding the return of serve and flow step into first volley. For some of these players, its the first time learning this drill! Split step, safe return over the net, into the service box, contact the ball to volley. So many things to groove in and so many parts can go haywire!!
