Watching a young dancer grow is more than just seeing how they are perfecting their arabesques or extensions.

It's rather about seeing how their 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 gradually develop, 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 growing more refined and 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 slowly take shape with every class and rehearsal.

Over time, ballet training nurtures 𝙛𝙤𝙘𝙪𝙨, 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, and 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙚. These qualities often extend far beyond the studio walls.

Behind each of these beautiful moments is dedication, guidance and an immense love for the art.

If you're a beginner or returning from an injury or after a long break, the Swiss ball takes the fear out of squatting. As you squat, the curve of the ball provides constant support and direct feedback to the lumbar spine. It helps to keep your core engaged and your back upright so you can focus on firing those legs and glutes muscles.

Try 3 sets of 15-20 reps. Add a dumbbell when bodyweight feels easy.

Utthita marīcyāsana (standing Marichyasana) is an intermediate one-leg balancing pose. 🧘‍♀️

While the seated version is a common spinal twist, the standing version challenges your balance while adding that same gentle twist to the spine.

In this reel, we practice one of the variation with wall support which is great for building your confidence.
