General consensus right now is that a lot of us are feeling the fall slump and just mehh about a lot of things.
This week just threw me off and I found myself doing things I rarely do anymore - letting little things get to me, putting myself down, and just feeling so overwhelmed.
So I want to share some things I do that help me out when I'm feeling down, unmotivated, or overwhelmed and hopefully they can help you too! 💕
1️⃣ Get back into a routine! Find your old go-to motivators - I've been turning to a lot of podcasts and old accountability tools like calorie tracking and time blocking on my google calendar to keep me going.
2️⃣ Remember slumps are temporary. You’ve always gotten past it and you always will. Let it happen this week but remind yourself next week will likely feel completely different.
3️⃣ Do something that makes you feel more like you - you guys know how much I love Halloween 😅 (be prepared for this weekend) I channeled some excitement into costume shopping even though I’m feeling less thrilled about it this year. Something to look forward to is always a positive!
4️⃣ Minimize notifications - Do Not Disturb mode will do wonders on your phone if you need the buzzing to stop for a bit. Everyone will understand if you don’t respond right away! You'll feel so much better, trust me!
5️⃣ Reflect. Be alone for a bit. Take some time to reflect and just let all the emotions happen. Try to figure out if something is triggering it so you can figure out how to move on from it.
