I get so so excited for all the “Where to Travel Next Year” lists this time of the year. I read travel articles like it’s my morning coffee and start plotting what we can see but more importantly… what we can feel.
This year I’m lucky.
These 6 live in my body and my coaching (it was hard to pick , ask me about any of these places 👀)
1️⃣ Kayaking Ometepe Island, Nicaragua
Secret-river vibes, ospreys, lush green, glassy zen water. I was rowing, rowing, waiting to find the “entrance” then…we arrived and awe washed over.
Kinetic lesson: Moving your body in new landscapes helps your brain raise standards for what’s possible.
⸻
2️⃣ Hvammsvik Hot Springs, Iceland
Hot and cold in a fjord, mountains staring back, one big full-body exhale (plus a casual glacier hike). I would go back to your with any time)
Kinetic lesson: Heat, cold, and breath aren’t “biohacks” they’re focus tools. Strength lets you say yes when adventure pops up.
⸻
3️⃣ Manuel Antonio National Park, Costa Rica
Day one of my retreat: watching my guests play in the ocean before I joined them and thinking, “I’m in the right place. I can and will lead retreats.”
Kinetic lesson: Sweat + play is a language we can share anywhere in the world.
⸻
4️⃣ Clear Creek, Golden, Colorado
Pull-ups, sprints, cold creek nearby. Pure effort and sunshine 20 minutes from home.
Kinetic lesson: “Retreat energy” doesn’t need a plane ticket. Environment + movement can flip your whole day.
⸻
5️⃣ Cenote Hopping, Homún, Mexico
Tuk tuk, no plan, dropping into glowing blue water and caves outside Mérida. Slightly chaotic, totally free.
Kinetic lesson: Playful, slightly unhinged adventure is regulation.
⸻
6️⃣ Zero F*cks Day, Joshua Tree
Remote cottage, desert jog, weird critters, skinny dip, watercolors, reading. No schedule.
Kinetic lesson: Down time isn’t lazy when your body is leading the plan.
⸻
These six live in how I program, coach, and build retreats.
Baja is next and I CANNOT WAIT. I have a feeling it’s going to alter a few brain chemistries too. 😉
✨ Save this for future travel plotting and tell me:
Where are you going next or where should we go together?
