What’s one cool thing being fit has allowed you to do lately?

I’m genuinely curious. Post in comments👇

For me it was surfing. Even though I struggled like a baby deer on that water, it was cool knowing pushing off and standing on the board was easier because I was strong, flexible and body aware.

This is my buddy Brian. Look at the difference in his midsection after 1 month. Pretty impressive.

You know what’s cool? He’s 3 pounds heavier.

We’re gaining muscle. Muscle is heavier than fat.

I ate it. Felt great. No regrets.

Cheeky nudge reminding you that labelling foods as “good” and “bad” MIGHT be the reason you feel extremely guilty for enjoying a treat from time to time.

We all (should) know which foods will help us achieve better health status, but that doesn’t mean tasty French pastries need to be omitted from our diets.

I always teach my clients how to exercise control and flexibility into their fat loss strategy so they can enjoy the process and actually see results because of their consistency.

Dealing with inflammation🔥

My client sent me this pic yesterday. We had a coaching call a few hours prior and although she’s absolutely crushing it, she was reporting some puffiness and fatigue. After asking a few more questions we decided reducing inflammation would likely help.

But how does one reduce inflammation? Probably in a number of ways…And I’m not an inflammation expert. Inflammation is still being studied and understood! But here’s what we know:

🔥Enough sleep helps
🔥Eating less processed food helps
🔥Hydration helps
🔥Avoiding alcohol helps
🔥Decreasing exercise intensity (not forever) helps
🔥Getting some light movement/stretching in helps

So, she started taking action (like she always does) and sent me this lovely photo of her meal.

Inflammation is normal but feeling the abundance of it can be a signal you can learn to read to steer yourself through it. If you’ve been crushing it like you should, recovering JUST AS HARD IS 🔑.

Taking your recovery as seriously as you take your training is what will keep you in the game and making gains💪
