Join us on World Ocean Day June 8th for our next Dive Against Debris and help us to clean up the underwater world of Huatulco across two dives. 🗑️

This FREE event has limited spaces available and no previous clean up experience is required. All tools and equipment will be provided. All we ask is that a donation is made of however much or little as you feel is appropriate ($900 MXN suggested per participant). 100% off ALL donations made will be going to benefit Parque Nacional Huatulco and their conservation efforts.

You must hold a valid dive certification and be over 10 years old to participate. 🤿

A huge shout out and congratulations to our owner Barrett on successfully joining the professional scuba world by completing his Divemaster course. 🤿

Over the past few months, Barrett has been squeezing in his DM training amongst all of his other roles and responsibilities and is now able to offer even more support to the team. 🤝

Not only was this a great personal achievement, but this has also allowed him to see a different side to the business that will help shape the business moving forward.

How did we celebrate? With cake and a cerveza of course! 🍰 🍺

A huge congratulations needs to go to one of our most recent students - Lane Stevens.

At 80 years of age Lane set himself a personal goal to become a certified diver. After almost a year, countless calls, emails and challenges, Lane finally managed to get in the water with us and proudly walks away with the Scuba Diver certification under the expert instruction of

We are pleased to introduce you to Barrett, Jennifer, Zoe, Jacob and Olivia - the Lindsay-Kolari family who are the proud new owners of HDC. And along with their tribe of foster dogs Hershey, Mia, Honey and Marsha, will all be familiar faces to you very soon. 👱🏼‍♂️👩🏼‍🦱👩🏼👨🏼👩🏻‍🦰🐕🐕🐕🐕

Barrett, an educator for over 25 years including serving as a Special Education Principal along with his wife Jennifer, a globally recognised parenting author, speaker and podcaster are both looking forward to bring their experience and expertise to further enhance and develop the existing HDC offering as well as enjoy the warmer weather, the fantastic local food offerings and of course the amazing local community and National Park. 🌮📚✍️☀️

Originally from Canada and after moving to the US, The Lindsay-Kolari family fell in love with Huatulco and Mexico back in 2023. Having been on the lookout for opportunities to further involve themselves within the local community as well as be part of something the family love to do, it was as if the stars aligned and right on cue HDC became available. 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇲🇽

Whilst Jennifer and Zoe, will initially be land based overseeing operations from afar, you may recognise some of the family if you have dived with HDC before. Barrett, Jacob and Olivia have all been diving and taking courses with HDC in the past and with over 65 combined years of diving experience we are sure HDC is in safe hands. 🤿 🫧🐡🐢

We are looking forward to this exciting new chapter at HDC, so please join us in welcoming the Lindsay-Kolari family. 👋🏽

A new season means a new Team Member to introduce to you 🙌🏼🤿

Our newest instructor Monserrat AKA Monse made her first dive back in 2022 in Playa del Carmen and she immediately fell in love with the ocean. Monse had previously worked as a lifeguard for water parks and cenotes as well as being part of the entertainment team for Iberostar resorts 🛟

Since then, Monse has spent as much time as possible underwater without turning into a mermaid and her favourite dive site was the Colombia Reef in Cozumel 🧜‍♀️

After spending most of her time on the Caribbean coast, diving with HDC in the Pacific waters was a huge draw for her to swap coasts and we are sure she will have a new favourite dive site soon enough. Monse loves to see turtles during dives and they love to see her too 🐢

Monse is also a certified PADI Master Freediver and she can perform a 3 minute and 45 second static apnea breath hold.

When not diving or in the ocean, Monse is on a mission to find the best Burger in Huatulco, be the biggest American Football fan or you might just find her spending her time enjoying horror movies 🍔🧟‍♀️🏈
