Euro RVS - Rueda Vacation Cozumel takes a vacation to Europe.
Greetings to all Ruedanerds and especially the Family and Followers of Rueda Vacation Cozumel,
Due to the increased popularity of the Rueda Vacation concept created by José Barretto and continued as “Rueda Vacation Cozumel”, I am pleased to announce that I am moving forward with my plans to expand the program.
Not by having a larger event, but rather, having more events under the umbrella of Rueda Vacation Seasons, (RVS).
I am currently touring Europe to choose a location for the first RVEuro, with plans for September, 2026.
I expect to make my final decision by mid - June latest and launch the Event Page, already under construction, shortly after.
Another project in the final phase:
A new edition of the “Rueda Cantante Exercise” made like playing cards, which will be incorporated into ongoing Rueda Vacation Seasons (RVS) programs as a 4 hour “Rueda Cantante Training Program”.
More Cantantes = More Ruedas.
The revised & improved card decks may still be purchased at events like SalsaNor Rueda Congress and RVS events for $25/E22 or as a package that gives priority registration access to Rueda Vacation Seasons programs which will have a 4 hour Cantante training course “Rueda Cantante Circle” for $75/E65.
Rueda Vacation Seasons — Pricing and Tiered Registration Structure 🌎💃
I have always tried to keep Rueda Vacation as inexpensive as possible.
Over the 4 years I have been organizing it, I lost money the first 2 years, and just barely broke even the last 2 years because of generous extra donations in year 3.
Much of this program was built almost entirely through volunteer energy, friendship, and passion for the community, including by the many Instructors I invite every year.
That spirit remains.
But long-term sustainability also matters.
The updated pricing will help:�• pay high quality instructors rather than relying on their good will.�• support local collaborators�• organize great alternate activities�• maintain the relaxed small-group atmosphere�• continue building unique destination experiences around the world
This approach creates real connection, relaxed energy, shared adventures, Sunset Ruedas, and enough time together for the group to actually become a temporary Tribe.
As in Cozumel, I always look for locations with a Rueda dance school/community to partner with.
As Rueda Vacation Seasons grows into a year-round international program, I am introducing a 3 Tiered registration structure for all future events.
40 dancers - 5 Instructors.
To support that structure, and be fair, registration will work like this:
Single or couple tickets can only be purchased 1 at a time. No group sales.
🌿 TIER 1 — Priority Registration - 22 dancers - couple or single.
$200/E170 - Single.
This tier receives:�• earliest access�• lowest pricing�• first opportunity at limited spots
Available to:�• Past Rueda Vacation participants�• Rueda Cantante Circle members�These are the people who have helped build the long-term culture and vision of the project.
🌿 TIER 2 — General Registration - 10 dancers - Couple or Single.
Single - $225/E190
This is the normal event registration for:�• Followers of Rueda Vacation Cozumel who have not been able to get tickets for past events.�• Returning dancers unable to buy tickets during Tier 1.
🌿 TIER 3 — Final Registration - 8 dancers - Couple or Single.
Single - $235/E200.�• Available for Tier 1 & 2 who were unable to get tickets and dancers discovering the program for the first time.
Registration for each Tier will be on separate days. I will announce the date of Tier 1 in advance. When sold out I will announce Tier 2, etc.
Rueda Vacation events sell out quickly, so Tier 3 may not always happen.
I will make a wait list if spots become available close to the event date, at the final registration rate.
I believe this cozy full week Rueda Vacation Seasons program remains intentionally affordable if compared to larger 3-4 day dance festivals and congresses, and preserve the relaxed, high-quality atmosphere that defines Rueda Vacation Seasons.
