The kind of ambition I have now is the kind that allows me to have the life I have.
Yes, I’m a millennial. Maybe I’m embracing the Gen Z vibe? I don’t know.
But these days, I’m less interested in building the biggest career I possibly can and more interested in building work that supports the rest of my life.
I do want to make money. I make money with my coaching, and now I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to make that happen with the podcast too.
But mostly, I want ordinary afternoons to be sacred. I want time outside to be available to me every day. I want a marriage I’m present for. A life full of community and friends. Space to think, to travel, and to take care of my body.
If anything, I don’t think I became less ambitious.
I think I just became more specific about what I want my ambition to buy me.
