Well we are out of the race for day 5 for the Norra Mexican 1000 after blowing a motor yesterday. There was a lot of hard work and effort that went into this program and we are disappointed that we were not able to bring it to the checkered flag today. Thank you to everyone who helped get to where we got!

A couple of more finished pictures of “Scoop” after putting on a few final touches. We only have 4 or 5 little things on our list to do and then we’ll be ready for Norra Mexican 1000 in a little over a month. Special thanks to HELLA for the awesome headlights and BFGoodrich Tires for some new shoes.

Here is a little video I found about our Class 1 Nissan. Frank “Scoop” Vessels and Bill Savage tell us a little about the technology and attention to details put into this truck. They had big plans for the Nissan, but sadly it never really worked. It is pretty crazy to see how much has changed in 30 years of building top of the line trucks. We had a great time testing “Scoop” the Class 1 Nissan this past weekend out in Barstow. The truck ran flawlessly and we only have a few gearing and suspension issues to fix. Besides that we will be ready for our trip to Cabo for the Norra Mexican 1000 in April. Special thanks to HELLA for the sweet headlights.

Only 65 days left to get ready for the Norra Mexican 1000 and we are ready to test this weekend. We need to finish putting the stickers on and we’ll be ready to go. This truck is extremely fast and we cannot wait to get it dirty. Didn’t get a video of it at full throttle, but it is pretty insane. Stay tuned for more ☺️

We have been debating on what to do with these trucks for a little while now. They were awesome while we had them but now it is time for them to serve a better purpose and go to Mexico. One will be servicing San Felipe and the other is going to Gonzaga Bay. We’re so happy the two fire trucks get to live a new life in Baja!
