My heart is heavy today as our beloved city faces the unimaginable. What happened on Bourbon Street has shaken us to our core, leaving behind pain, grief, and countless questions.
To the victims, their families, and everyone impacted—please know that you are in our thoughts, our hearts, and our prayers.
New Orleans is no stranger to hardship, and if there’s one thing I know about this city, it’s that we are a community of resilience and love. We find strength in one another, even in the darkest of times.
Today, let us lean on that strength, hold each other close, and offer compassion to those who need it most.
This tragedy reminds us how deeply connected we are as neighbors, friends, and family. Healing will take time, but together, we can honor those we’ve lost by standing united, choosing love over fear, and continuing to uplift the spirit of this incredible city.
To my fellow New Orleanians: I love you. I believe in you. Let’s show the world the heart of our community—the unshakable bond that makes New Orleans so much more than just a place, but a family.
I LOVE YOU. I LOVE US.
New Orleans Strong.
