Happy Belated Pilates Day!

Aside from making it to the women's march in D.C. I have been able to meet and reconnect with so many amazing pilates women. Today I made it to Vinegar Hill to meet Blossom. I left her studio singing to myself "I feel amazing". I am so glad that I have been able to take this trip!

Guilty of entering my pilates room without asking! Yoda evidence and all. And yet I am proud he actually set himself up in a legitimate pilates exercise!

Sometimes you come across clients that take to pilates so naturally and seem to just "get it". Selene is one of them. She is moving fast towards advanced repetoir. As a teacher it is a pleasure to witness!

Ruth Scott (re: Ruthie Wahlborg) is a wonderful woman, great instructor and peer on my pilates journey! I have taken classes with her and from her and I love that she has taken the time to share her story with us all. Take a look!

Below is my lovely client, Izaskun, that has been with me since Aug. I am proud of her because short spine was not easy for her and she has now gotten it! She also has a lumbar herniation (and was told she could not do spinal extension) but as you can see she can now enjoy miild extension. Since starting with me she is free of back pain and sciatica. This is why I love what I do! Great work Izaskun!

I included 2 Short Spine photos taken 24 hours apart! Her form improved so much in just a day!

Congratulations for this woman telling her trainer not to pressure her about "getting her body back"! Post partum is about relearning and regaining strength, the idea that we should look like we never had kids at all is so completely absurd! Why did that ever become a compliment? Catch yourself next time you almost say "You look like you never had a baby" (I know it is tempting), instead you could say "You look so happy and beautiful being a mom! You just look great!".
