Digestion is a complex process and deserves all of our attention.

Nearly everything seems to affect digestion somehow, from our thoughts, to our feelings, to our environment, to our age or biological s*x, to the specific nutrients we eat.

If that's not a primary example how everything is connected and why we cannot separate body, mind, and spirit!

This is what I do in my coaching. I bridge the gap between science, mindset and spirituality for a holistic approach that sees the whole person, not just the calories you are eating or the exercise you are not doing.

My passion has always been the martial arts, but I have a particular love and soul connection to the Afro-Brazilian martial art Capoeira.
I finally found a great Capoeira group here in Merida and you have no idea how good it feels to be back training regularly.
I'm even collaborating with my Capoeira teacher here to infuse my postnatal programs with (more) Capoeira. I now have an in-person program which I plan to also put online so everyone can access it.
So I thought it was time to write about the Why.

There are two things we moms have in common no matter in what situation we find ourselves in.

1)A constant lack of time. There is always so much to do and it never seems to stop. Between taking care of kids and partner and running a household, finding time for self-care and exercise is a chore in and of itself. On top of this, our energy levels are extremely prone to plummeting. We find ourselves so busy trying to keep up with mom-life and getting it all perfectly right that the energy needed to get everything done becomes a valuable and extremely limited resource.
2) If anyone knows what true happiness and peace look like it’s us moms the moment we hold that newborn in our arms for the first time. It is then that we are completely in the present, nothing else matters, all worries are forgotten, we don’t think about the past or try to figure out the scary future.All we can feel and think about in those precious moments after giving birth is pure and unconditional love and peace. Even though we just went through hours of the most agonizing pain so powerful that we feel like we’re not even on this planet anymore.

Self-confidence is a word that gets thrown around everywhere. We all want to be confident women. Confidence is s*xy, it opens doors, and allows us to feel like queens like the world is ours and we are not just playballs of fate.
But if you dig a little deeper into what confidence really is, it gets tricky. Many have a superficial perception of what confidence really is.
What makes a woman confident? Is it just a perception or does it go deeper? Can anybody be confident or only the ones who look a certain way and have titles or are respected in some way?
What is YOUR definition of self-confidence? How do you spot a confident woman? Are you yourself confident?

Integrity or being true to yourself is different for everyone because we all are different people with different priorities and perspectives. That’s why it’s so hard and at the same time so important to not judge anyone. Learning how to listen to understand and not listen to respond is key for us if we’re trying to find meaningful connections and meaning to our lives. We’re all connected and unless we understand what this really means we will always be missing an important piece.

For Example, imagine 2 mothers disciplining their kiddo by giving them a pop on their butt.
One of those mothers feels incredibly guilty for days about that, the other one doesn’t feel guilty at all and just moves on with daily life without giving the incident any attention.
Who is right?
The reason a topic like disciplining kids is so controversial is because we all have a different set of values. If your value tells you that popping your kid on the butt is always wrong, then you will feel guilty.
That is why at the end of the day you need to decide for yourself how you raise your kids according to who you are. If you always act with integrity in regards to what your values tell you, you will never feel guilty no matter what people say, because you know you did the right thing.

Feelings of guilt come up when you somehow betrayed yourself and were not true to yourself in some way. Ask yourself which value of yours you went against. Then ask yourself whether this particular value still holds true for you or whether it is something you were taught but that no longer serves you. Reevaluate your set of values and priorities, let go of what doesn’t align with who you are or who you want to be anymore, and implement changes in your thought and behavior patterns if you realize you in fact did something that was out of alignment.

Have you been thinking about introducing new routines, schedules, or habits in your family?
Then now is the perfect time as this New Moon in Aries brings us the energy of starting something new and setting new intentions. This is the energy any New Moon brings, but this one carries the energy multiplied since it is in the astrological sign of Aries.
Mars, the planet of war rules Aries, it can be very aggressive energy which is good if you're trying to start something new because now more than ever planetary energy will support you 100%, especially if it's something that requires thinking and strategizing.

Today I wanted to share the post about fear. Please let us know in the comments what kind of fears and anxieties you are struggling with.

Fear is a quite common emotion. We moms are often anxious about the future and whether we will have enough resources, patience, wisdom, and ability to get our children safely into adulthood and independence.
We are then also worried about what will happen to us once they left the nest and we are left all alone and in need to redefine our identity and open a new chapter of our life.
How do you deal with your fears? What does it mean to face that fear?
Fear tells you that you feel helpless because you feel out of control in some area of your life. Fear is a survival response.
Facing your fear means thinking about what exactly you are so scared of? What is it that you feel you cannot handle? Can you change that? Are there areas in your life you can control a little better?
Then learn to let go of what you cannot control and be the change you want to see.
