On day 51 of our European adventure. Just stopped back into Lyon, France to return the rental car. Sunday, we fly to Barcelona then take the train down to Valencia, fly from there to Malaga. From there day trips to Morrocco, and Gibraltar. Then fly to Lisbon, train to Porto then back to Lisbon where we fly back to London then home. All done in a quick 70 days. I could not have done this amazing trip without Paulina. She has been amazing! Driving through numerous countries without fear or blinking an eye. What an incredible strong woman she is.
Looking forward to coming home. I miss everyone, and I am excited to jump into my new pool!

I had no idea what Lausanne was about. It's a super low-key Swiss village on a huge lake that even has a ferry to take people to other hard to reach villages. I chose this stop just to break up the drive. Dumb luck!
As you can see our hotel is tucked in tight along with cafe's, shops, and pubs.
Very cool.

I could have spent days exploring this 2.5-hour stretch from Lyon, Fr. to Lausanne, Sw. Almost every hilltop boasted a 17century village surrounded by farmlands, cattle, rivers and streams. Breathtaking.
