La Rumorosa es una de esas míticas subidas que todo ciclista en México quiere hacer al menos una vez en la vida. Uno de esos lugares que parecen sacados de otro mundo, donde el desierto llano y arenoso da paso a unas altas montañas de rocas en las que parece que no haya nada pero que tienen vida y un atractivo que no se puede explicar en palabras ni tal vez con imágenes.

La Rumorosa is one of those legendary climbs that every cyclist in Mexico wants to do at least once in their life. One of those places that seems to be taken from another world, where the flat and sandy desert gives way to high mountains of rocks in which it seems that there is nothing but that have life and an attraction that cannot be explained in words or perhaps with images.

Te imaginas ir por el desierto y que de la nada surja todo un sistema volcánico con cráteres, conos de ceniza y lava solidificada? Pues así es el increíble paisaje de El Pinacate, la reserva de la biosfera del norte de Sonora.

Can you imagine going through the desert and having a whole volcanic system emerge from nowhere with craters, cinder cones and solidified lava? Well, this is the incredible landscape of El Pinacate, the biosphere reserve of northern Sonora.

Uno de los trayectos más duros y más bonitos que he hecho últimamente, gracias al consejo de , es la costa de Sonora entre San Carlos y Bahía de Kino. Me ha tocado empujar mucho la bici pero ha valido la pena. Estas son solo unas pocas fotos de las muchísimas que he hecho estos días, y que no consiguen reflejar la belleza de este lugar virgen y salvaje.

One of the hardest and most beautiful routes I've done lately, thanks to 's advice, is the coast of Sonora between San Carlos and Bahía de Kino. I had to push the bike a lot but it was worth it. These are just a few photos of the many that I have taken these days, and that do not manage to reflect the beauty of this virgin and wild place.

Interesante paso por las tierras de los yaquis, uno de los pueblos originarios de Sonora. Cultura y paisajes únicos que tuve oportunidad de conocer de la mano de algunos de los locales. Todavía no conozco mucho de Sonora, pero me está gustando.

Mazatlán es una ciudad interesante, llena de contrastes y cosas que la hacen única, como sus característicos transportes que llaman pulmonías o las bandas que puedes encontrar tocando casi en cualquier parte. Hogar de retiro de muchos jubilados extranjeros o destino de playa y de fiesta para otros, todos disfrutan de sus deliciosos mariscos y pescados. Y cómo no, de sus increíbles atardeceres sobre el mar.

Mazatlan is an interesting city, full of contrasts and things that make it unique, such as its characteristic transports called pulmonías (pneumonias) or the bands that you can find playing almost anywhere. Retirement home for many foreigners or beach and party destination for others, everyone enjoys its delicious seafood. And of course, its incredible sunsets over the sea.

La isla de Mexcaltitán es un lugar único. No solo porque solo se puede llegar en panga, sino por su entorno, su gente y sus tradiciones. Mexcaltitán está en una laguna en mitad de la marisma, rodeada de manglares y todo tipo de aves, donde no hay ni un solo coche o moto, donde los difuntos se llevan en panga al cementerio, y con una población multiétnica que incluye a los descendientes de migrantes chinos que llegaron hace varias generaciones y que han dejado su impronta en los rasgos físicos, los apellidos y las técnicas de pesca y conservación del pescado y el marisco. No cabe en un post todo lo que se puede aprender en esta pequeña isla.

The island of Mexcaltitán is a unique place. Not only because you can only get there by panga (boat), but because of its environment, its people and its traditions. Mexcaltitán is in a lagoon in the middle of the marsh, surrounded by mangroves and all kinds of birds, where there is not a single car or motorcycle, where the deceased are taken by panga to the cemetery, and with a multiethnic population that includes the descendants of Chinese migrants who arrived several generations ago and who have left their mark on the physical features, surnames and fishing techniques and conservation of seafood. There is no room in one post for everything that can be learned on this small island.

Jalisco se despidió con bonitos paisajes, terracerías solitarias, un río sin puente que hubo que cruzar y mucho rato empujando la bici por subidas de pendientes exageradas llenas de rocas sueltas. Mereció la pena? A juzgar por las fotos del lugar, yo diría que sí.

Jalisco said goodbye with beautiful landscapes, lonely dirt roads, a river without a bridge that had to be crossed and a long time pushing my bike up climbs of exaggerated slopes full of loose rocks. Was it worth it? Judging by the photos of the place, I would say yes.

Los últimos días en Jalisco me regalaron estampas increíbles de los verdes paisajes de Talpa de Allende, Mascota y San Sebastián del Oeste. Fueron días duros en la bici, mucha terracería y empedrado, pero valió la pena para poder disfrutar de estos bonitos lugares.

The last few days in Jalisco gave me incredible views of the green landscapes of Talpa de Allende, Mascota and San Sebastián del Oeste. They were hard days on the bike, a lot of dirt and cobblestone, but it was worth it to be able to enjoy these beautiful places.
