Que Onda!
I'm Edgar a Baja Local- from Scorpion Bay BCS. I've been surfing my whole life, but I wanted to spend more time on the waves so I decided to take up kiting a few years ago. Since then I've managed to diversify my skills from kitesurfing to kite-foiling, big air, strapless freestyle and of course instructing! My idea is whatever the ocean gives to me I will pick the sport that best matches those conditions and have fun!
My latest obession is Wing Foiling! I love the freedom the wing gives you to de-power and surf the open ocean swell connecting waves for miles! It is an amazing feeling.
My learning style is trial and error. I love to spend sessions trying new things and feeling different movements while on the water. I figure out the limits of the gear, what works..what doesnt...and that way I can better teach you! You'll often find me on the water, I am frequently the last one out, spending my free time learning new skills.
My goal when teaching is safety first! Creating a competent kiter or winger that knows the rules of the road!
The reason I love to teach is because I love to watch the stoke build up in a new kiter or winger, as they start to pick up the sport. It is an infectious feeling and I love it! After all, these sports are apart of my lifestyle, and I love to share that with everyone especially in my hometown!
